As I stood tall before a judge in a civil case, I waited for the judgment...

June 2016

Graduation exercises at Harvard Law School this May were a significant milestone for the campus ministry of Coram Deo, Christian Union’s now three-year-old ministry to the storied legal institution.

Begun in 2013, the campus ministry has grown in numbers, interest, and influence.  One of several Christian campus ministries active among the student body, participation in bible courses, lunch discussions, and weekly times of prayer and fellowship have steadily increased amidst the many pressing academic and community obligations students become involved with during their three-year academic program.

Like small, developing congregations, new student organizations have strong appeal to some but not all members of the community they seek to serve.  In God’s kind providence, Coram Deo is blessed with an international student body eager to see the life of Christ’s people enriched and ministry to the student body at Harvard Law School flourish.

Grateful recognition is hereby recorded for all the ways in which the founding students and their successors in the past two years have worked hard to make Coram Deo an active, thriving ministry to the students, spouses, and children which the ministry has been privileged to serve.

In addition to the fostering of a strong Christian community among the student body and related Christian campus organizations, Christian students bonded together in the Spring of 2016 to form the first-ever Students for Life Organization as a public witness intended to redress the topic of abortion and all its related social consequences.

A unique mixture of singles, married couples, and even small children, we look forward to the new class of incoming students and ongoing ministry of our current student body in upholding the “banner of truth” in the generation and location which God has called us to serve in preparing future graduates of one of America’s oldest legal institutions.  The prayers of God’s people for this strategic work are solicited and greatly appreciated.  Co-laborers in the service of Christ en route to the heavenly Zion in which all God’s people will share, we look forward to the ongoing ways in which we can work together in the extension of God’s Kingdom in the twenty-first century.

Your servants in Christ,
