Greetings from the campus of Harvard Law School!

Another academic year is just weeks away at Harvard Law School. But this one is a bit different. HLS is celebrating its Bicentennial: 200 years of producing some of the most significant leaders of this country. This year marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation that God used to spread his gospel across the world. And Christian Union is celebrating 15 years of God’s grace and the transforming power of the gospel at the most strategic universities in America.

And among these milestones, Christian Union is beginning its fifth year of developing Christian leaders at HLS to transform culture. Please join us in praising the Lord and praying that we will faithfully work for his glory throughout another academic year.

Here are some specific ways to pray:

  1. New Alumni. Many of our students graduated last year and have begun their legal careers across the country and the world. Please pray that:
    • The Lord would grant favor and encouragement to the new alumni of Coram Deo Law as they serve him and seek new Christian communities;
    • The Lord would help us extend the CU ministry to our alumni, offering them ongoing support and tangible opportunities to give back to Coram Deo Law.
  2. Ministry and Improvements. By God’s grace, we have accomplished a lot in four years and learned how to improve our efforts at HLS as we begin year five. Please pray for:
    • Faithfulness and excellence in biblical teaching, mentoring, and leadership development that the students value both personally and professionally;
    • Fruitfulness in the ministry, asking the Lord to increase student participation and transformation by blessing new efforts to build community, encourage a seeking God lifestyle, and saturate the campus with the gospel.
  3. 1L Welcome. Incoming students will arrive in mid-August and we will welcome the class of 2020 during a series of events over two weeks. Please pray that:
    • The Lord will bless our investment of time, energy, and resources to build relationships with incoming students;
    • The Lord will draw many new students into the gospel community, ministry, and opportunities at Coram Deo Law.
