God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea
(Psalm 46:1-2)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The semester has just concluded for our students—and what a semester it has been! As others have said, we are very excited to get back to more normal times rather than “unprecedented” ones. Though it has been an unusual semester for us, God has remained the same and has continued to be “our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble,” as the Psalmist declares. What a joy it is to know God is constant, even when everything else appears to be in disarray.

In an earlier prayer letter, I mentioned how our staff sensed fresh, spiritual momentum at the beginning of the semester. Now that the semester has concluded, we are pleased with how our students continued to show a desire to grow in their faith up until the end of the semester—even despite setbacks brought on by the current crisis. In their desire to grow, our students have asked to continue both Encounter and TruThursday online over the summer. In the past few weeks, we have even seen our students start reaching out to incoming freshmen students and connecting with them in online meetings.

Here are some of our current prayer needs:

  • For Our Seniors. This is a difficult time for our graduates. Pray that they will be able to find work and continue to follow Christ faithfully now and for the rest of their lives.
  • For Summer Initiatives. As mentioned, we will be continuing on with Encounter and TruThursday over the summer. We will also continue the book study of The Brothers Karamazov. Please pray for these initiatives.
  • For Fall Planning. The university administration has not decided whether students may return to campus in the Fall. Please pray that God will provide our staff wisdom and discernment as we seek to plan for the Fall.

Thank you for your support of our ministry.

Grace and peace,

Ryan Reed
