Dear CU Nova Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

God is blessing Christian Union Nova. It’s my prayer that God will continuously bless you as well, showering you with an abundance of His mercy and grace.

On June 29th, I ended a 40-day, one meal-a-day fast that started on May 21st. Our CEO, Matt Bennett encouraged me to press into a season of deep prayer and fasting as we are committed to seeing revival this fall. It is the longest fast I have ever undertaken. My prayers throughout can be summed up by Psalm 105:3-4: “Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice! Seek the LORD and his strength; seek His presence continually!”

Our staff is preparing for fall 2022 zealously. We’re taking the words of Augustine seriously:
"Pray as though everything depended on God.
Work as though everything depended on you."
This month, Christian Union Nova begins to recruit students to Pre-Retreat, our annual retreat where CU Nova will train dozens of students in evangelism. It’s a time for growing closer to the Lord and to one another. We will prepare to graciously welcome Princeton students into our community of faith, and hone our plan to recruit incoming freshmen into Bible courses.

Why are incoming freshmen so important? Christian Union catches students who might otherwise fall away from the faith over four years at Princeton. We don't want to see this happen. Bible courses offer an incredible chance to build strong relationships, friendships with other Christians that can last a lifetime, and an opportunity to go deep in the scriptures. We see the work of Christian Union Nova as Kingdom work carried out by all of us. So I asked for your continued giving and your continuous prayers. Will you join us in praying for the following requests?

  • We are praying for an amazing movement of God this fall.
  • We’re asking to see more incoming freshmen enrolled in Bible courses this year than over the past two years.
  • We’re praying for strength and favor as our CU Nova staff continues to pray and fast over the summer.
  • We’re praying for revival among Princeton students this fall.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support. Your partnership empowers us to continue the work of ministry in an environment primed for revival.

Blessings,

Dr. Chris Coppernoll
Ministry Director
