Dear CU Caritas Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,
Thank you for your prayers for CU Caritas at Stanford!
Fall Retreat
This October, some new and returning students joined us for a two-night retreat in the Santa Cruz mountains to seek the Lord together and grow closer as a community. We focused our meditations on the importance of abiding in God’s word night and day, that we might bear fruit for His glory in all seasons (Psalm 1:2-3). We considered the example of Joshua, David, Daniel, Anna, and most of all, the Lord Jesus. May God make these Stanford students strong in the ways of God, as they abide in the Lord and in his word!
“Venture” Leadership Lecture Series
Long-time Bay Area pastor and a director with Transforming the Bay with Christ recently spoke to students at our weekly leadership lecture series on the apostles (and us as we follow in their footsteps) being “Bold Amazing Idiots: Embracing a Kingdom Identity that Fuels Kingdom Expansion.”
The Holy Spirit, through Gary, stirred our students to bold witness for Christ. The following week, some of them set up a table on White Plaza, in the center of campus, advertising free prayer. Praise God for those who stopped by and experienced the love of Christ!
We are so grateful for your partnership in prayer. If you haven’t already, please consider giving a one-time or recurring gift to make Christ known at Stanford by using the secure link here: https://www.christianunion.org/cornerstone/caritas
If you missed the recent article in Christianity Today, highlighting Christian Union and other ministries’ campus responses to the Israel-Hamas war, feel free to read it here.
We are so blessed by you, as we couldn’t do this without you and your support!
Warmly, in Christ,
Justin Woyak
