I trust this email finds you well and filled with the joy of the Lord. As we step into the vibrant colors of October, thank you for your unwavering support, which continues to fuel the transformative work of our ministry. Your intercession and collaborative spirit remain the bedrock of our life-changing work, and it is with great excitement that we share some recent milestones along with specific prayer requests for the upcoming month.
God has been at work in so many ways that we would love to share with you:
- A handful of CU Lux members issued welcome gifts to over 1725 freshman
- As a result, over 250 students showed up for our Chipotle block party
- Over 30 Freshman have signed up for Bible Course with 30 others who stated they were interested in attending.
- We have already seen new freshman turning their hearts toward the Lord
Praise Report: I personally have seen hearts being surrendered to Jesus weekly. A couple of quick testimonies:
- From our Women's Ministry Fellow, Chitra Kovoor: “Just coming out of bible course - at the end of it, one girl was convicted about slipping up and getting drunk on the weekend and regretting the failure. Another girl was convicted and said the same thing, especially noting that when she was stressed, she sometimes turned to such things first instead of God and His community—lots of confessions and tears and other girls confessing and praying for each other. God’s Holy Spirit was at work!”
- From our Men’s Ministry Fellows: “As we finished up a late evening of Bible Course, one freshman states, “Wow, it finally clicked, and I get it.” What clicked, asked the student leader? The student responds, “John 8:31-32 tells me if I hold to the word of God, then I am truly His disciple. Then I will know the truth, which will surely set me free. This is God's will for my life that I will live a life worthy of His calling! I finally get it.” After a brief conversation, the student states, “I finally have what Paul describes as confident hope in my relationship with the Father's will for my life!”
I hope you can see how God is significantly using your prayers to grow the ministry impact at CU Lux.
Our current prayer request is for campus outreach: please pray for our upcoming campus outreach initiatives in October. We will spend one hour each Tuesday from 2-3 P.M. praying for students as they walk by. Specific prayer points:
- Boldness for the student members
- Increased receptivity by the students to receive Christ in their lives
- Increased funding as the number of students are doubling from last year
- Student relationships would deepen between each other and their Bible courses as they press into their midterms
It would be a blessing to the ministry if you would also consider a one-time or recurring gift to support what God is doing at CU Lux and to make Christ known at Yale using this secure link:

Thank you for developing and connecting Christian leaders to transform culture at Yale for God’s glory. We couldn’t do it without you and your support!
