Friends,
With students away on summer break, not much is happening here with Christian Union at Brown. Matt Woodard, Christian Union at Brown Ministry Director, and I, have been enjoying this break, reading and preparing for ministry in the coming academic year. Laurel Copp, the new female Ministry Fellow with Christian Union at Brown, began her work last week. She is quickly catching up with what God has been up to here at Brown University through Christian Union over the past couple of years. We’re excited to have her join the team!
I’d ask you to join us in praying for just a couple of things over the summer:
- Please continue to pray for Laurel and her family’s transition. Not only is Laurel beginning a new job, but so is her husband. Pray that they would get the support they need in the midst of a rather hectic season.
- Please also continue to pray for our students. While the majority of our students are back home or overseas, there are 8-10 who are here in Providence this summer. We hope to get a study started in the near future, providing a space for these students to not only engage their minds, but also engage relationally with one another and God. Pray that we can sort through the details with ease so this study can get underway as soon as possible.
