As I stood tall before a judge in a civil case, I waited for the judgment...

I am writing this email on the final day of classes at Princeton. The semester has flown by and we are delighted in what the Lord has done in the ministry. We are grateful for your faithful support in the form of prayers, encouragement and financial gifts. It’s a pleasure to share with you the following highlights and updates.

We have wrapped up teaching through the book of Philippians. Unlike in the spring semester when different classes study different topics, every class studied Philippians this fall. The central theme we focused on in Philippians is ‘Advancing the gospel together through joyful imitation.’ What a privilege it was to walk alongside students this semester as we studied this book characterized by joy, friendship, and living for Jesus.

The Melrose Center really feels like home. The new Ministry Center located on 19 Vandeventer Avenue, just a block or two from campus, has been a tremendous blessing. We moved in last summer and were very excited to welcome students into the space. In addition to hosting all of our Bible Courses in the Melrose Center, we have also put on a number of great events. Several of the Christian Union ministry staff hosted around 20 students for Thanksgiving Dinner. The Engagement Team, a leadership team comprised of students in the Princeton ministry, put on an amazing Christmas Party. Around 60 Princeton students came out to decorate Christmas cookies, do a ginger bread house design contest, and sing Christmas karaoke songs. The Worship Team hosted a Christmas themed worship night just before the party. It was a great way for our community to wrap up the semester together – enjoying friendship focused on Jesus.

There are so many other things I could mention but one other event I’d like to mention is a creative outreach event affectionately called Hot Dogs, Hot Chocolate, and Hugs. Led by our Engagement Team, a group of students handed out 100+ hot dogs, gallons of hot chocolate and countless hugs outside of the Frist Campus Center. It was part of our campus kindness initiatives where we simply seek to bless students with no strings attached as a way of showing Christ’s love.

Big Prayer Request. We are excitedly recruiting students to join us for our annual winter conference we call Ski Safari. We are hoping to take around 150 students to Camp of the Woods, a Christian retreat center in upstate New York. This is always a highlight of our ministry year and we have seen many, many lives changed as a result of the time together. The retreat always happens during intersession, January 28 – February 2. Please pray that students would sign up and that it will be a very impactful time.

Thanks so much for your prayers and support. We could not do our work without you. We consider it a real privilege to minister to these Princeton students. We are grateful for your partnership with us in the gospel.

Grace and peace,
