Dear Cornerstone Partners and friends of CU Lux,

Greetings from CU Lux at Yale! I pray this finds you well.

We are excited to share some great news this summer as we look ahead: preparation for Freshman Welcoming Campaign, and we are growing our team.

As we prepare for the start of another academic year, we are already reaching out to incoming freshmen and preparing for their arrival on campus. One significant effort of our outreach to incoming freshmen is connecting with them on Instagram and building that relationship with them before they step foot on campus. We currently have more in our community this year, at this time, than we did last year heading into the freshman campaign. This effort allows us to engage with freshmen wondering what type of Christian community is on campus and welcome them with open arms.

Greetings from NYC!

James encourages and reminds us of the power of prayer: “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working” - James 5:16. Your prayers for Christian Union New York are needed, and they are working! Fruits of the ministry in NY are abundant, but the need for intercession is even greater. Please continue to pray! Join Christian Union New York in prayer over these three exciting ministry opportunities and events happening this August.

Dear CU Libertas Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers, because I hear of your love and of the faith that you have towards the Lord Jesus and for all the saints, and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ. - Philemon 1:3-6

Greetings from Providence!

Dear CU Lumine Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Soon our students will complete summer classes or internships and head home for a week or two before returning for the fall semester. On behalf of the students who are a part of the CU Lumine community, thank you for your continuous support and prayers for the ministry. Without you, we could not have done this past year.

Dear CU Nova Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Princeton students are wrapping up summer classes or internships and heading home for a week or two before returning for the fall semester. Others have stayed on campus all Summer in various research positions. Thank you for your continuous support and prayers for CU Nova. You are making a difference in the lives of Princeton students for the Kingdom of God!

Students from Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Pennsylvania, Princeton, and Yale gathered at a two-week CU Spiritus student retreat at Camp of the Woods this past May. This retreat aims to strengthen some of our top student leaders to maximize their impact for Christ back on campus.

Beloved brothers and sisters,

As we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus, may the body of Christ in NYC and across all humanity, cast one giant net of gospel proclamation. The Lord has graciously raised us from death to life and it is our high privilege and responsibility to be fishers of men.

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

2 Chronicles 7:14

Whispers of revival are spreading across pockets in the US and across NYC! Will we be revived?

As the Church has eyes on the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Asbury University and Seminary, intrigue and hunger are growing. Many are asking, what must we do to experience the Holy Spirit ourselves in these ways? Lord, search our hearts.

It is exciting to report that several pastors in NYC  have been seeking God fervently as He requires for many months now. Together they, their families, and their congregations have been fasting several days a week and for longer stints, praying, repenting, and wholeheartedly seeking the Lord’s face together. Following the outpouring at Asbury, a small handful of these pastors are beginning to see and experience outpourings of the Holy Spirit in NYC like never before! Did they cultivate a soil that could receive the rain?

Dear CU Nova Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

“Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told” (Habakkuk 1:5).

Greetings in the Name of the Lord!

The word “revival” is in the air thanks to God’s faithful movement on the campuses of Asbury University and Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. On February 8th, a chapel service—usually lasting an hour—continued beyond its regularly scheduled time. It kept on going past the hour, throughout the day, into the evening, into the next day, and the next. Remarkably, this worship service has continued ever since. I write this in its tenth day and the 2023 Asbury revival has spread to over 22 other college campuses. People are showing up from as far away as Singapore and New Zealand to fill Hughes Auditorium and overflow rooms. Videos from the revival are going viral on social media, and the story of what God is doing at Asbury is receiving coverage everywhere from Christianity Today to NBC and Fox News.

Dear CU Lumine Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

I'm Craig Holliday, the new Ministry Director at CU Lumine. It's a pleasure to introduce myself and provide you with our prayer requests for the current semester.

By God's grace, we have gotten off to a great start for the spring 2023 semester during this season of transition. The students have returned with a deeper desire to seek God for a revival on the campus and a harvest of new converts at Columbia University.

Dear CU Vita Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

I’m Dr. Marcus Buckley, and as the new CU Vita Ministry Director, I first want to say thank you for your support of the great work God is doing on campus here at Cornell University. It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of this effort for the Kingdom, and I’m grateful that God has opened this door of opportunity. I have served as lead pastor for nearly 29 years, and I am truly excited for this new journey that the Lord has for my family and me. My wife, Lea Ann, is also on the CU Vita staff as the Administration/Ministry Associate, and we are genuinely excited to be here in Ithaca.

Dear CU Vox Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Greetings from CU Vox! As I watch the snow fall and praise God for his beautiful creation, I am reminded of Revelation 21:5, which says that “He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’” In this spirit, our prayer request is simple: for divine newness and renewal as we finish the winter term, endure the finals, and look toward the spring.

Dear CU Gloria Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Sad will be the day for every man when he becomes absolutely contented with the life that he is living, with the thoughts that he is thinking, with the deeds that he is doing, when there is not forever beating at the doors of his soul some great desire to do something larger, which he knows that he was meant and made to do because he is the child of God. - Phillips Brooks, Class of 1855, Harvard Overseer and Preacher

Dear CU Martus Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Greetings in Christ from CU Martus!

As stated in the previous letter, we conducted our winter retreat. I’m pleased to say that we had 40 students that attended a retreat where we discussed the Holy Spirit and the gospel. This was a time for students to live out our third goal of being steeped in Scripture and exercise the model we see in Acts 17:11 of examining the scriptures to investigate what was being discussed at the winter retreat. Students came away being challenged in their faith, spurred on to evaluate Scripture further, and also building life-long bonds with one another.

Dear CU Lumine Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

On behalf of all the staff and students at Christian Union Lumine, let me wish you a Happy New Year. We pray you had a restful holiday season.

By the grace of God we were able to have a vibrant, impactful Fall 2022 semester.

Dear CU Nova Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

It's been quite a year.

As 2023 begins, let's take a moment to look back to see how far we've come and all that God’s accomplished. As we reflect on all that has happened in the past twelve months, it's important to take stock of where we are and where we're going. God has built on our strong foundation to position ourselves for even more success in the years to come. Here's what God has accomplished in the fall semester.

  • More than 2,000 hours of student prayer.

Dear Cornerstone Partners and friends of CU Lux,

Greetings from the campus of Yale!

Spring Semester is beginning and although you are not on campus with us, God has you in just the right place He needs you—in prayer for the work of the Kingdom at Yale. Please join us in prayer for four major events this semester: winter retreat, Bible courses, outreach, and campus-wide prayer.

January 12, 2023
Dear CU Vita Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

We are just two weeks away from the start of the spring semester at Cornell, and we are looking forward to all that our faithful Savior is going to do through our students in Ithaca in this new year. I was so encouraged by a recent conversation with one of our students, a member of the Cornell wrestling team. After battling back from a serious injury last year, he recently began wrestling again with great success, only to injure himself again a couple of weeks ago. And this injury could end his wrestling career. But even in the face of this disappointment, his faith is strong, trusting in God’s plan and providence. As we talked together over lunch, we rejoiced in the goodness of God and the amazing gift of eternal life through Christ, which put everything in perspective. Seeing the faith of this student in the midst of trials and challenges reminded me that God is surely with us and He is faithful to preserve and sanctify His people at Cornell.

Dear CU Gloria Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. — Hebrews 12:28,29

Dear CU Martus Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Greetings from Penn!

Hope this finds you well!

As we look to the year ahead we have a few exciting things on the horizon, particularly our winter retreat, Bible courses, and prayer workshops.

Dear CU Vita Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Thank you for your partnership and prayers! We have been so encouraged by the ways that our students have been seeking the Lord this semester. There are now five different prayer meetings going on throughout the week with 35-40 students in attendance each week. There are four student-led meetings and one meeting that I lead on Monday mornings focused on revival and renewal at Cornell. At this prayer meeting, several prominent male student leaders from across different campus ministries gather together with me to pray for the week ahead, for every campus ministry, the leaders, upcoming meetings, the local churches and pastors, and for God to pour out His Spirit at Cornell for the awakening and salvation of many souls.
