Faith and Finance

Parker (Henritze) Morse '09 S'10 is vice president of the Sycamore Partners investment team. Sycamore Partners is a private equity firm based in New York specializing in consumer and retail investments. Parker has been involved in several consumer retail transactions including the take-private acquisition of The Jones Group Inc. in the Spring of 2014. The firm has more than $3.5 billion in capital under management.


Parker sat down with Christian Union to share her story, and she reflects on Christian engagement and leadership in industries such as finance.
 
As an undergraduate at Princeton, the Atlanta native was enrolled in Christian Union's Bible courses all four years and served as vice president of Princeton Faith and Action (the student organization resourced by Christian Union).

The politics major was highly engaged in athletics and campus life: captain of the varsity women's volleyball team, president of the Varsity Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, an undergraduate representative on the NCAA Certification Committee, and a volunteer coach for a middle school boys' basketball team. In 2005, Morse earned the Ivy League Rookie of the Year award, and in 2007, she earned the Ivy League Player of the Year award.

Morse served as an officer of Tiger Inn, chair of the Honor Committee , and was a member of the President's Advisory Committee on Architecture at Princeton. In 2009, Parker was a recipient of the Spirit of Princeton Award given annually to select undergraduates who represent exceptional contribution to the Princeton community through positive contributions in multiple facets of university life. She was the recipient of the C. Otto von Kienbusch Award, awarded annually to a Princeton senior woman of high scholastic rank who has demonstrated excellence in athletics and the qualities of a true sportswoman.

Following graduation, Parker moved to New York City where she worked as an associate with Bain & Company for two years. In September 2011, she joined Sycamore Partners.

Parker currently lives in Manhattan with her husband Zach Morse (S'10) and attends the Redeemer Church network.
