A pair of underclassmen who participate in Princeton Faith and Action, a Christian leadership development ministry resourced by Christian Union, spent part of their summer serving with a ministry that targets villages in the eastern region of Uganda. Blaire Bloxom '14 and Amy Gonzalez '15 served with the Rural Orphans and Widows AIDS Network from July 27 to August 11.

The California-based ministry seeks to empower orphans and widows infected or impacted by HIV/AIDS through economic development, educational, and medical initiatives.

"God is really working through this organization," said Gonzalez.

Christian Union ministry fellows encourage students to be obedient to serve "the least of these" locally and around the world, and to grow in their faith as they experience Christian community in other cultures. Along with Blaire and Amy, many students took up that call this summer, serving in variety of ministry activities.
