Dear CU Vox Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

We are at the halfway point of the spring term and like it always does, time is moving fast. It’s hard to think that graduation is next month and that the special senior class we have will be departing. Campus life and ministry are full and busy and there is much to praise God for. The new student executive team is in place, the students are engaged in several prayer and Bible reading initiatives, new people are joining Bible courses, and there is a real sense of joy and community on display this term. God has provided abundantly during this unique and challenging academic year. Would you please thank God for His provision and kindness to CU Vox and also pray for these specific requests:

CU Event on June 6, 2021

Thank you for joining Christian Union Vox (Dartmouth) at 5:00 PM EST on June 6 for a virtual reunion. Christian Union Vox invited participants from all classes, all denominations, and all Christian ministries to this annual event. We enjoyed connecting with other Christian alumni, visiting with current students, and meeting the Christian Union ministry faculty and staff.

Dear CU Vox Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

As I write this letter, it is spring break here in Hanover. There’s no beach and it certainly isn’t warm, but students (and myself) are enjoying some much-needed rest and refreshment. This spring break marks one year of living during a global pandemic. Campus life and our lives have changed significantly, but what has not changed is our God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We are clinging to that truth here at Dartmouth as well as celebrating the ways God has continued to pour out His blessings and grace on us. As we enter spring term would you pray for:

Dear CU Vox Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Hello from Hanover and Christian Union Vox. The ten-week sprint which is the winter term here at Dartmouth is nearing completion. It's hard to fathom that spring break is on the horizon and that we're finishing up our study of the book of Acts. It's been a full and busy term reconnecting with the sophomore class, preparing for the final term with the senior class, and continuing Zoom relationships with the freshman and junior classes. As always, we have much to praise God for and much to ask His help with.

Dear CU Vox Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Hello from Hanover and CU Vox. Our winter term is well underway and the rhythms of classes and ministry have returned along with the snow and cold temperatures. It's a joy to have the sophomore and senior classes in residence this term as well as a few members of the freshman class who chose to remain on campus. While the constant changing of who is on campus and who is remote hurts continuity, it is a blessing to have concentrated in-person time with a smaller group of students. In spite of the continued pandemic challenges, the students remain joyful and participatory. I'm amazed by their resiliency and adaptiveness as they adjust to this new version of college life.

Dear CU Vox Cornerstone Partners and other friends of the ministry,

Hello and Happy New Year from once snowy and now grassy Hanover. It's been a restful and celebratory month and I am excited to have the students returning to campus in early January. While the calendar has turned to a new year, the focus here continues to see students growing in their relationship with God and for revival to spring forth from Dartmouth. To that end, here are a few ways in which you can pray for Christian Union Vox:

December 3, 2020
Dear CU Vox Cornerstone Partners and other friends of the ministry,

Greetings to everyone from Hanover and Christian Union Vox. Classes are over and the on-campus students have returned home for finals and a much-needed break. We entered the fall with great uncertainty and many questions but God richly provided and we experienced a connected, joyful, and exciting term. It was a boon to have freshmen students on campus and to see them grafted into the community here. In addition to the Class of 2024, the junior class (2021) was on campus and it was a blessing to reconnect in person after a virtual spring and summer term.

Dear CU Vox Cornerstone Partners and other friends of the ministry:

Greetings from Hanover and Christian Union Vox. We are hastening toward the end of the fall term and fittingly, there is snow falling as I write. In a departure from the normal Dartmouth calendar, students will take exams at home this term and classes end on November 17. It's been a delight to meet the Class of 2024 and I'm grateful that they, and the Class of 2022, were on campus this term. The ministry has seven different Bible courses taking place; our Leadership Lecture Series, The Vine, happens every Friday night; and there are multiple prayer meetings each week.

Dear CU Vox Cornerstone Partners and other friends of the ministry,

Hello from Hanover and Christian Union Vox. September is always a month of transitions and changes, but this year our changes are more significant. The leaves are still turning red and gold and the Dartmouth Green is still green, but the pandemic has altered the ministry here at Dartmouth. Only half of the student body is on campus and there is a reduced staff presence. Despite being unable to do our large in-person outreach activities or attend sporting events, all those associated with CU Vox are deeply encouraged to be a part of God's work here in Hanover. The students and I are thankful that we are not fully remote and have reconnected with many of our returning students as well as many of the first-year students.

Dear CU Vox Cornerstone Partners and other friends of the ministry,

Greetings from Hanover and Christian Union Vox. We just finished our summer term (virtually) and have a two-week break before the start of the fall term and the beginning of another academic year. It would be an understatement to say this year will be different here in Hanover. Only half of the student body will be on campus this fall with both freshmen and juniors returning to Hanover. There will not be any fall sports, clubs have been curtailed, and large-scale gatherings are on hold. Campus life will look vastly different and the traffic on the Dartmouth green will be diminished. In spite of these challenges there is much to rejoice over and much work to be done. Please be praying for us in these specific ways:

July 30, 2020
Hello from Hanover and Christian Union Vox at Dartmouth College.

We are in Week 4 of the summer term, albeit virtually.

June 25, 2020
Dear Prayer Partners,

It is finally summer here in Hanover. The spring term concluded on June 10th and commencement took place (virtually) on the 14th.

May 28, 2020
Greetings from Hanover!

Unlike most colleges we are still in session and finishing Week 8.

Please pray for our seniors as their last few weeks as Dartmouth students draw to a close. We are saddened that we won't be able to properly say goodbye. Pray for them as they leave "campus," that they would be bold and faithful witnesses for Christ in their new communities.

Greetings,

As we conclude Week Four of the spring term here at Dartmouth we are thankful for the ways that God is working in spite of our students not being on campus. We are seeing strong Bible Course attendance, new students joining our BCs, students stepping up to lead worship, create devotions, and care for each other.

March 26, 2020
We, like all campuses, are in the midst of great uncertainty and transition. In spite of that we are encouraged by the excitement our new student executive team has for ministering to students during this time. Please pray for our, and their creativity as we find new and effective ways to connect with students who are spread over the country and the world.

Greetings!

As we close out Week 7 of the Winter Term, here are a few prayer needs from Dartmouth.

January 30, 2020
We are in the middle of Week Three of the current semester and have just concluded our Winter Retreat, held at Singing Hills, Plainfield, New Hampshire. We took 40 students away from campus for the weekend to connect, pray, worship, and relax.

October 31, 2019

Greetings from CU Vox,

We just started Week 6 of our ten-week term and our students have their mid-term exams behind them. We have 11 Bible Courses going this fall, all studying Colossians.

January 31, 2019

Greetings from Dartmouth!

January has kicked off to be a great month so far. We have launched our winter term Bible Courses and are underway with all of our scheduled winter events. We just got back from our annual winter conference, which tends to be the highlighted Christian Union event of the year for most students. It’s a great time to retreat away from campus to enjoy time with one another, worshipping the Lord with open bibles and open hearts. We had several great times of prayer and discussion on the conference’s theme of Friendship. The students thought about what genuine forgiveness looks like in friendships as well as how to think about the significance of Jesus calling us his friends and how we extend that love to others. The students were both challenged and encouraged by this weekend. It was moving to see several students pursue reconciliation with friends they have turned aside and hear of healing in relationships because of this weekend away. Please join us in prayer as the students return back to their normal routines. It is my prayer that the effects of this conference continue to be vibrant all term long.
