Christian Union, at Columbia, is a student organization that is focused on Christian leadership development.

Christian Union provides in-depth study of Scripture, leadership training, fellowship, and support for Christian students as well as resources to help non-Christian students learn about Christianity. The group's main activities include intellectually rigorous Bible courses, a weekly lecture series called Illumina, conferences, and various outreaches on campus.

Highlights

  • In 2016-17, 180 undergraduate students at Columbia enrolled in Christian Union's rigorous, weekly Bible courses. 
  • This year, five full-time Christian Union ministry faculty work directly with students, providing Bible course instruction, mentorship and leadership coaching.
  • The leadership lecture series, Illumina, addresses a host of challenging, inspiring topics throughout the year. 
  • Daily prayer gatherings take place throughout the year, and many students also fast together as they seek the Lord for themselves and their campus.
