Greetings from the campus of Harvard Law School!

As the warm summer days give way to the approach of autumn, students are beginning to repopulate the Harvard Law School campus.

Our official outreach to new students began on August 24th and will continue with daily activities over the next several weeks.  A busy time for both campus staff and students, it is also a strategic moment for forging new friendships and interest in a campus ministry.

In the absence of two full-time staff, prayer is appreciated for the increased activity and preparation load during the upcoming weeks – some of the busiest weeks of the entire year.

Returning students are also a critical component in the effectiveness of campus ministry.  Please pray for their participation and availability in outreach and welcome of incoming students.

Besides being older than incoming college freshmen, a sizeable number of graduate students may be married and/or parents of small children.  Needless to say, the ministry dynamic is very different working with singles, couples, and children!  Please pray that our campus ministry is effective in addressing the variety of needs and concerns reflected in the diversity of student background.

Finally, please pray for a new ministry fellow for the team at Harvard Law.  Growth in student involvement is often related to ministry gifting, especially among the growing body of students whose lives have intersected together here in Cambridge.

Your servant in Christ,

Jim Garretson
