Greetings from the campus of Harvard Law School!

Famous for its fall foliage, the bright colors that once hung so magnificently in the New England autumn sky now drape the ground in subdued and faded shades of brown. Like life, fall foliage reminds us of the cycle of birth and death that marks our own journey through the present world to the heavenly Zion.

Student schedules remain busy and the impact of the recent national election has stirred conversational interest on campus. As many of our students may one day pursue careers in public policy, conversation on the management and direction of our country reflects the same passion in competing perspectives demonstrated in national news coverage from recent months.

In addition to Bible Course material, students are active in Wednesday lunch discussions dealing with the calling and challenges of life as a Christian in the legal profession. A recent presentation by a professor of law at the Navy War College in Newport, RI examining the law of armed conflict proved especially helpful.

As before, please be in prayer:

  1. God would bless our lives together in a bond of love and unity of spiritual purpose;
  2. That there would be deep hunger for study of His word and interest in our times of fellowship, prayer, and fasting;
  3. That student reaction to the recent election demonstrate Christian rules of engagement for discussing how our culture can best flourish under God’s blessing;
  4. God would bless their labors on law journals and related professional opportunities as they plan for work as clerks, partnerships in firms, public advocacy, military service, consultancy, and involvement in shaping public policy.
  5. For wisdom as we plan our Spring 2017 schedule of events.
