“Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, “Come and let us meet together at Hakkephirim in the plain of Ono.” But they intended to do me harm. And I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” -Nehemiah 6:2-3

Greetings from Cambridge!

As I was recently reading Nehemiah, I was struck by how single-minded and focused he was on the task the Lord had called him to do, rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. In Nehemiah chapter 6 some of his opponents try to distract him away from his mission, but his response is quite remarkable: “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down.” There was no taking Nehemiah away from what God had called him to do.

That’s how we feel at Harvard. God has called us here. God has called our students here. We are on a mission to develop Christian leaders and bring revival here at Harvard. We are excited to have started our Spring Term here at Harvard when classes officially began on Monday, January 27th. We are looking forward to relaunching our Bible Courses this first week, as well as host our one-day Winter Retreat on Saturday, February 2nd.

Please join us as we pray for the following:
  • That our student leaders would be single-minded and committed to the mission God has called us to.
  • That our Bible Courses would start off on a strong note.
  • That our students would encounter God in a special way at Winter Retreat.
  • That the student leadership transition which will be unfolding over the next several weeks would happen smoothly.

Lastly, we praise God for our new Teaching Fellow, Whitney Gamble, who has officially begun working with our team. We also praise God for your partnership in the gospel, and for your prayers for our team!
