16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians

Dear CU Gloria Cornerstone Partners and other friends of the ministry,

Cambridge has now officially seen its first snow of the season and Harvard’s campus is currently coated in white. The Fall season was beautiful but short, much like the Fall semester. Freshmen along with the few upperclassmen on campus will be vacating their dorms and going home just before Thanksgiving. As the month of November begins there will doubtless be a growing emphasis on thanksgiving, as there always ought to be, towards our good God and Father, who is the giver of every good gift. At CU Gloria we are most grateful for your support, prayers, and partnership in the gospel as we continue to minister to our students at Harvard.

Your support has enabled us to continue hosting our weekly and powerful Leadership Lecture Series, Doxa, via Zoom. The most recent Doxa featured the Head of Global Critical Care at the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Burton Lee, speaking to our students about the implications their Christian faith has for all aspects of their life, including their careers. It was also a delight to be joined by other CU universities including Penn, Columbia, and Cornell. We are excited and thankful for the impact that Doxa continues to have on the lives of our students, along with weekly Bible Courses, in helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Paul instructs the Thessalonians, and us, to give thanks in all circumstances because that is God’s will for us. While of course there is much to pray about during this current season — the pandemic, the elections, limitations on our capacity to minister to students in-person — there is also much to be grateful for. Just last week ministry fellow Tyler Parker led yet another wrestler to faith in Jesus, and for that, we rejoice with heaven and give thanks and praise to God.

Please join us in thanking God for the following:
  • The wrestler who gave his life to Christ.
  • The many new freshmen who have joined our community and have been participating in Bible courses.
  • All the discipleship groups that have been meeting consistently across the nation and the globe.
  • The Exec Team, Assistant Bible Course Leaders, and Ministry Team Leaders who have been faithfully serving their peers and the HCFA community.

Please pray with us for the following:
  • That God would pour out his Spirit on our campus and on our nation.
  • That we would see revival break out in our ministries and our cities.
  • That key leaders on Harvard’s campus would come to know Christ personally.
  • That there would be an increased sense of unity among all the different campus ministries.

Many blessings and Happy Thanksgiving!

Fady Ghobrial
