Dear CU Gloria Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” - Isaiah 43:19

Happy Fall, dear friends! Our students have finally regathered after a long time of scattering over the summer. Pre-retreat with the student leaders was a strong and powerful way to kick-off the semester as the students reconnected with God, one another and made many plans to welcome the class of 2027. There were 28 student leaders at pre-retreat, and we were joined by CU Vox at Dartmouth as well, which was mutually encouraging! The week at retreat together was filled with worship, prayer, teaching and a lot of fun.

Freshman Welcoming Campaign has been off to a great start. We were able to meet and connect with many freshmen during the first week of classes at CU Gloria’s annual Pizza Party, and Popeye’s by the River, among other events. Student leaders also organized many church visits over the first few Sundays of the semester, which is a blessing both to the local churches as well as the new students who will hopefully get plugged into churches early on in their time at Harvard.

Praise God for bringing in a new class of students on campus. It is a joy and an incredible opportunity to help them find Christian community, friends and a place to put their gifts to good use and grow in their faith. Praise God for providing for the team a new Ministry Fellow, Saddie Sasser, who got to meet the student leaders at Pre-retreat and has hit the ground running. And praise God for the 55 students who came to our first Friday night Doxa of the semester. The carpet was pulled out from under us at the last minute as we lost our meeting space, but the Lord provided for us a new location the morning of the day of our meeting. Thank God for his faithfulness.

This week we will be launching all our weekly Bible Courses. Please join us in praying for:

  1. The regathering efforts for all the upper-classmen Bible Courses.
  2. God’s grace and help as the Ministry Fellows and Bible Study leaders prepare to teach Colossians this Fall.
  3. That freshmen students will quickly get involved in Christian community.
  4. That the Lord would bless our Fall Retreat which is coming up in just a short couple of weeks.

Thank you for your prayers and partnership in the gospel.

God bless you,

Fady Ghobrial
Ministry Fellow
