Dear CU Vita Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

I hope you will be encouraged to know that your prayers for us for the start of the year at Cornell have been answered! During the first week of the semester that started last week, we were able to meaningfully welcome and serve over 40 new Cornell students. Many of them are finding Christian community with CU Vita and showing sincere interest in joining our Bible courses that start this week.
We had 20 of our student leaders return to campus early to attend our pre-retreat last weekend and they spent their first week of classes last week joining our effort to reach out to new students. They were energized by God’s power and love and a vision for revival at Cornell. These student leaders along with our staff hosted five major outreach events last week, including a hiking trip to Taughannock Falls State Park followed by a worship night, a CU Vita open house, campus tours, pancake dinner, and game night. It was an amazing start to the year, and our major focus this week will be inviting these new students to our Bible courses, the first of which starts tonight. We would appreciate your continued prayers for the following:

  • The new students we have met and welcomed into our ministry, that they would experience God’s love and peace as they start their journey at Cornell, and that they would make Christ and His glory their ultimate priority at Cornell.
  • Our 6 Bible courses starting this week, that every new student would commit to attending, and that God would be pleased to speak powerfully through his Word during these weekly meetings for the sake of meaningful Christ-like transformation in the lives of those who attend.
  • Our staff and student leaders, for energy and strength during this busy time, and for joy in the Lord and love for one another and the entire campus.

Thank you so much for praying, and for your partnership with us.
