Dear CU Vita Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

I hope that these summer months are treating you well! Things are currently quiet around the campus at Cornell, but in a few short weeks, thousands of students will pour into Ithaca and the surrounding communities as a new school year begins. That means there will be thousands of individuals who need to hear about and experience the Good News of Christ. We at Christian Union Vita are excited about the opportunities God has in store for the coming year. Our student-led outreach team has already contacted over 100 incoming students, and the work has barely begun.

In the few short months I have been Ministry Director at CU Vita, I have seen God doing amazing things in the lives of our students. Each week, dozens of young men and women met for in-depth Bible courses and sought the Lord diligently in prayer at the Mott Center and across the Cornell University campus. These students' passion for the Lord is infectious, and it bodes well for the future. These students are already taking the initiative and leveraging the incredible gifts God has blessed them with to make a difference for the Kingdom of God.

Many of our students are spending their summers serving in ministries overseas. One example is a group of ten students who have spent much of this summer working in the Philippines. In addition to an ambitious engineering project designed to help farmers who struggle with the hard soil in their country, these students are also boldly ministering and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ throughout those communities. Others are ministering in the Middle East and comparable locations where the governing authorities do not always welcome the Gospel. Still, they fearlessly and faithfully carry out the Great Commission nonetheless.

The work we have been called to at Christian Union Vita is vital and, as you can see, makes a difference for the Kingdom of God. God is significantly using your prayers to grow the ministry impact at CU Vita. Would you pray that these students and leaders continue deepening their faith?

One of our greatest needs is funding to keep up with the needs of the ministry. With over 15,000 students on campus, the financial need is significant to provide adequate resources for supplies, staffing, and funding for events on campus. If you are already giving financially to support the work of CU Vita, I am so very grateful. If not, would you consider becoming a Cornerstone Partner with us? You can learn more about how to give at the following link:

Thank you again for your faithful support and encouragement of the work here at Cornell. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Pressing On,

Marcus Buckley, DMin.
