Dear Friends and Partners of Christian Union at Penn,
Our students are in count-down mode: 7 days remaining of classes, 14 days until final exams, and 28 days until graduation. As the semester comes to a close, we are so thankful for the wonderful year we have had with our students. We’ve seen God’s sovereign grace bring new spiritual life, we’ve had the joy of baptizing new believers, and we’ve seen God’s grace poured out in countless ways. Thank you for your prayers for these students and our amazing staff. Would you continue to pray for:
- the students’ continual praise to God (Psalm 34.1) particularly after the joyful Easter celebration this past weekend.
- endurance amidst trials (Romans 5.4) and anxiety over uncertain futures (Philippians 4.6) -particularly for our seniors.
- joy, even as our students cram for tests and finish papers (James 1.2).
- Gospel fruit borne out of our last 2 Philia meetings - that students would embrace the Gospel.
- diligence of our staff as we close out our Bible Course study on the Acts of the Apostles. That the students would see themselves in Acts 29, continuing the story of Christ.
- Seniors and their families as they take the step from the comfort of college ministry into their vocations and grad school work. Pray that they would find churches and a church community where they can continue to grow in discipleship and begin discipling others.
- leadership of our new Exec leadership in CU@Penn. Pray that they would lead with humility, grace, and boldness, and that the prayers for those under their care would be continual.
- CU’s trip to Uganda as Kelly leads a group of students to lead with ROWAN (Rural Orphan & Widows Aids Network). Pray for finances to come in to help defray the costs associated with this great service opportunity.
- incoming Penn students. 2,400 new students will be arriving on Penn’s campus this fall. Pray that there would be a bountiful harvest, and that God would prepare, even now, hearts to be won to Christ!
