Dear Friends and Partners of Christian Union at Penn,
With classes complete at the University of Pennsylvania, our students are either preparing for graduation festivities or heading to homes and internships around the world. It has been a great year for CU@Penn, as we've seen students continue to grow in faith and leadership on campus and in the community. Our staff is also transitioning, from Bible course preparation and discipleship meetings to professional development and planning for next fall. Would you please join us in praying for the following?
- Ministry Fellow Kelly Schaaf is leading a group of students to Uganda to serve ROWAN (Rural Orphan and Widows Aids Network). Please pray for traveling grace, joy in service, and further equipping in the Gospel as this group ministers alongside the ROWAN team.
- Students who remain in Philadelphia for the summer will be taking part in a Wednesday Bible study with CU faculty. Please pray that the book of Proverbs would land on ears and hearts, and that we would all grow in fear and admonition of the Lord. Pray that the students would trust in the Lord with all their heart, and lean not on their own understanding, but in all their ways acknowledge Him, and that God would make their paths straight.
- Our students will be interning in, among other places, Buenos Aires, Taipei, Hong Kong, and of course San Francisco, and New York. Pray that they would find strong, Gospel-preaching churches to attend and invest in. Pray against any spiritual lethargy that could afflict the students as they break from normal routine.
CU@Penn faculty is even now preparing for next fall's new student orientation (NSO) and speaker series. Pray that God would direct our steps, and that our diligence this summer would make for a smooth NSO for incoming freshmen.
- Evangelism and Outreach are going to be the focus for next fall. Please pray for Gospel preparedness for our staff and students as we seek to make disciples on the Penn campus this summer and fall semester.
Thank you so much for continuing to pray for these students and this campus and this city. God, in His sovereignty, has a plentiful harvest here. We long to labor for His glory and our joy. Thank you for joining us in this mission!
