Dear Prayers Partners of CU@Penn,

Penn’s Freshmen Welcome is always intense: Intensely tiring, intensely exhilarating, intensely active, intensely fast. Penn’s 1st year students have already been here a month, and are only 3/12 weeks away from Fall Break. As a staff, we don’t want to take these days for granted. Meeting new students, re-connecting with returning students, and seeing Bible Courses form is a joy, even in the midst of the intensity. We appreciate and need your continued prayers!

Would you please pray for the following as we settle into the rhythm of our fall semester:

  • Fall retreat registrations are filling up, and we are looking forward to a weekend at Harvey Cedars on the Jersey Shore. Would you pray that our students continue to connect, that they would have ears to hear the Gospel, and would grow in their faith and devotion in Jesus? Also, please pray for our retreat speaker, Pastor Aaron Turner, from Midtown Church in St. Louis, MO. Pray that he would have unction by the Spirit’s leading as he teaches.
  • Our Bible Courses are also filling up. It has been a wonderful Freshmen Welcome! Would you pray for continued growth of our Men’s 2023 Bible Courses? And that all of our BC’s would flourish as we study Colossians this semester.
  • As our Freshmen settle into the semester’s rhythm, would you pray that the Lord would keep the fires going in their hearts to pursue Jesus?… Particularly when the busy-ness of academics seeks to re-set priorities.
  • We’ve had 3 Philia’s (Penn’s Leadership Lecture Series) already this semester, and the attendance has been amazing. Pray that students would continue to make Philia a priority on Thursday evenings, as they encourage one another and grow in grace.
  • Please join us in praise to God for His provision to our staff and student leaders. We join the Psalmist in proclaiming “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable!” (Psalm 145).

We are so grateful to God and to His praying Church. Thank you, saints, for your continued prayers! Soli Deo Gloria!
