Ministry continues at Penn, and we are continually thankful for your support, encouragement, and prayers during this odd but ordained season. While there are moments of anxiety and uncertainty, there are also moments of deep joy and hope. I am so proud of how our students have responded to life in 2-D…while some digital fatigue may have arrived, they are fighting the good fight both academically and in their spiritual disciplines and fellowship. Here are just a few reasons for praise:

  • God has raised up a new batch of leaders who have transitioned into their Exec and MTL roles without complaint or self-pity. They have done an amazing job of leading, gathering, encouraging, and challenging our students on a daily basis.
  • Our Seeking God Lifestyle team has organized a weekly 24-hour prayer and fast. They have also established prayer pods based on geographic location (so we don’t have our Connecticut students asking California students to join their 7 am/4 am prayer times!). Our students are praying that there would be an alleviation of suffering, but also that God would get our country’s and the world’s attention through this, and there would be repentance. Please join us in this prayer for revival!
  • Our staff has done an amazing job of leading the leaders. Please continue to pray for Fuji, Kelly, and Mae as they tirelessly serve the students all while taking on the role of home-schoolers!
  • LLS meetings and Bible Courses have continued, and though Zoom isn’t quite like the real thing, we are blessed to have the technology to stay connected. One of my students from Singapore joins us faithfully for a senior Bible Course every Friday. Praise God for these students’ resiliency!
  • Our heart cry to God is still from 2 Chronicles 20:12: “Our eyes are on you.” We praise God for He is sovereign over all things, He is good, and He loves His people.

Thank you again for your partnership in the Gospel. May God bless you richly. “Now, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit, you may abound in hope” (Romans 15:13).

In Christ,
