We would love to pray for you, as I imagine you are struggling with some of the same issues that we are struggling with here in Philadelphia: uncertainty about what the next 6 months will look like, how to parent well when our kids are getting stir-crazy, how to be a good husband when I’m getting stir crazy, etc.

The uncertainty and isolation are still in view for the University of Pennsylvania. While some students will be returning to campus, there will be many social restrictions in place. There continue to be unanswered questions, and so we hold on, waiting, hoping that we can effectively witness, disciple, and encourage our students in Christ this fall by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Please pray for us:

  • For our student Assistant Bible Course Leaders, that they will be resilient in leading their Bible courses possibly via zoom and certainly in a unique environment.
  • For incoming Freshmen, that they would still find Christ-centered community in spite of the challenges of an unusual welcome.
  • For Penn’s staff, administration, and faculty, that through this there would be a kindling of spiritual inquiry.
  • For our staff, that we would have wisdom in how to spiritually nurture our students - particularly our leaders, first-years, and students of color - in a truly unusual environment. Pray that we would grow closer to Christ and to one another this fall.
  • Join us in praising God for His faithfulness. He has never failed us. Pray that our praise and confidence in Him would transcend circumstances!

Thank you so much for your partnership in prayer. We have such hope and appreciate your encouragement in that hope.

In Christ,
