I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now. Philippians 1:3-5

Dear CU Martus Cornerstone Partners and other friends of the ministry,

In the past few weeks, we have heard from so many partners in the gospel here at Penn. Thank you for reaching out! It is a joy that we can pray together and proclaim the gospel, even if it is via Zoom. While we still await the days when we can meet with students at 1920 Commons or in one of the high-rise lounges, our Bible courses, Leadership Lecture Series, and discipleship meetings continue online. There are so many reasons to be thankful. CU Martus is thankful for the calling to which we’ve been called — to make disciples among the students here at Penn. Christian Union Martus is making a difference in students’ lives, and for that we are grateful.

As the holiday season is upon us, join CU Martus in praying with a thankful heart:

  • That our students would hold fast to the faith over the break, especially if they are going home to non-believing households. Pray that they would hold fast to Christ!
  • That the leaders of Penn would have wisdom and clarity in making decisions about the spring semester. The students want to be in person. Pray that they might not be discouraged if the news is different.
  • For the Holy Spirit to convict sinners, comfort the afflicted, and bring refreshing grace to all those who call upon the name of the Lord. Pray that through this holiday season we would provide a refreshing, life-giving breeze to our families.
  • That Jesus would be exalted, with hearts full of gratefulness and joy, as we celebrate the Prince of Peace and His glorious birth.
  • For Penn students as they finish up these last weeks of class before entering final exams. That in the midst of fatigue they would reach the finish line and rest in Christ Jesus.

May the Lord bless you and keep you this holiday season!
