Dear CU Martus Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Since the last update, we have closed out our Freshman Welcoming Campaign. Throughout the campaign, we were blessed to have had 100+ meaningful interactions with freshmen, and 35+ of whom were interested in our Bible courses. To close out our Freshman Welcoming Campaign, we were able to host a Fall Retreat where 34 students came to build closer relationships, grow deeper in their faith, and be challenged to live for Christ in greater boldness.

We are now hitting our stride as Bible courses are in session, students are leading daily prayer, and Caiti (our newly arrived ministry fellow) and I are praying and planning for the future. Our goal is summed up in a phrase: when the sea rises, all the ships rise with it. As we look toward the days ahead, we believe that investing in student leaders will increase the overall quality of CU Martus; thus, allowing for all who are a part of our community to grow and be challenged.

As we continue to move forward, I ask that you join us in praying the following:

  • First, thanking God for all of the new freshmen that he has blessed us with.
  • Pray for the men in CU Martus, that they would “fight the good fight of faith” (1 Tim 6:12), and be diligent and disciplined in seeking the Lord.
  • Pray for the ladies in CU Martus, that they would find our community a place of belonging and growth.
  • Pray that, every student, would become committed and focused on what God has called them to at Penn. Many students will busy themselves with frantic activities. Our prayer is that they would not be too busy for God and stay committed to His call for their life.

Thank you again for your many prayers for Penn students, and for those within CU Martus, as they are the lifeblood and fruit of our ministry here.

In Christ,

Cory Lotspeich
