Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. (Col. 2:6-7)

In studying the book of Colossians with our students, we have seen that these two verses form the fundamental charge that Paul gives to the Colossians believers—to continue on in Christ. This charge from Paul is exactly what we desire for our students—that they, too, would continue on in Christ. It is for this end that we do everything that we are doing—our Bible Courses, one-on-one discipleship meetings, daily prayer meetings, and gathering together at both Encounter and TruThursday.

That past month we have seen God work through our efforts in these different areas of ministry to the end of seeing students continue on in Christ. During Fall Break, we saw God work through our week of service, in which a number of students in our ministry displayed their faith in Christ by serving the underserved individuals in Trenton and Philadelphia. Another initiative was a night of prayer led by two student leaders in our ministry. On this night, twenty-five Princeton students showed up to pray between the hours of 10pm-3am. Both of these initiatives were led by students in our ministry who are taking on new leadership roles. For these students’ leadership as well as these initiatives themselves, we are abounding in thanksgiving for God’s work.

In seeking to see students continue on in Christ, we would ask your prayers for the following areas:

Ski Safari—we are beginning to recruit for Ski Safari in earnest. As you likely know,
Ski Safari is winter retreat which has a long history of powerfully strengthening the faith of our students. Please pray that God would move in fresh ways this year—all so that students would be radically transformed into Christ’s image.

Leadership Transitions—Looking toward the semester ahead, we are also beginning the process of selecting new student execs who help lead our ministry as well as other leaders of our different ministry teams. Please pray that God will give wisdom in this process and the students will be chosen who can disciple and strengthen other students in their faith.

Thank you for your prayers—we depend on prayer in this work that God has called us to. In this season of thanksgiving, we want to thank you again for your generosity and financial support of ministry.

Grace and peace in Christ Jesus,
