Christian Union
Dear CU Nova Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8

This is the good news, a constant stabilizer amidst much change!

This month, we say farewell to our Ministry Director Christopher Heslep, who will be leaving Christian Union after 3 ½ years of faithful service. Pray that God will send us an exceptional leader to fill Christopher’s shoes. Meanwhile, pray that God sustains ministry fellow Cameron Garven and me as we take on additional responsibilities.

From a new semester shrouded with COVID restrictions to the acclimation of students returning to modified campus life; from the merging of male and female students in our Bible Courses for the first time, to our new but remarkably mature, student leadership team; from the departure of our Ministry Director to the welcoming of new freshmen into Nova, we’ve not only experienced change, but the good news is, Christian Union, Nova, continues to thrive amidst the changes!

We thrive because Jesus has not changed! He remains to be our reason for hope. Thus, our students have embraced the changes with resilience and fortitude as we study the book of Acts, introduce the Seeking God Lifestyle to our freshmen, offer Vocational Prep to Seniors as well as continue to pray as staff for two hours each morning while students gather each weekday at noon. Even more, upperclassmen are actively discipling our freshmen on campus and virtually. It’s an amazing season of selflessness as students demonstrate the meaning of leadership.

Campus life is different but there is also a stirring of revival. A revival of spirit; a restoring of souls and a renewing of minds as the Gospel of Jesus Christ encourages the weak, motivates the strong, and anchors all towards a purpose beyond self.

God is at work, and we couldn’t be more honored to witness the transformation taking place in our students. Now we invite you to pray with us!

Pray that God will be glorified throughout this season of change;

Pray for Christopher Heslep! Pray that he and his family have a beautiful transition into pastoral ministry;

Pray for discernment in identifying the right person to serve as CU Nova's new Ministry Director!

Finally, know that we are so very thankful for your love and support!

Agape!
