Dear CU Nova Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

It's been quite a year.

As 2023 begins, let's take a moment to look back to see how far we've come and all that God’s accomplished. As we reflect on all that has happened in the past twelve months, it's important to take stock of where we are and where we're going. God has built on our strong foundation to position ourselves for even more success in the years to come. Here's what God has accomplished in the fall semester.

  • More than 2,000 hours of student prayer.

Through special prayer events, individual devotional time, and small group meetings last fall, CU Nova students invested more than 2,000 hours in prayer. The CU Nova faculty emphasized the priority of prayer in leadership meetings and in our Leadership Lecture Series. We reinstated our daily “12:1 Prayer” time on Princeton’s campus and hosted special prayer events throughout the semester. This spring, we’re not letting up. We want to see Princeton students develop a habit of prayer which leads them to a deeper walk with God.

  • CU Nova hosted 127 ministry events with 2100 interactions with students.

Be it freshmen dinners, large group worship gatherings, or intentional acts of campus kindness, CU Nova-hosted events exploded in the fall of 2022. Directed by our faculty, and led by students, we organized an astonishing 127 events over the course of the sixteen-week fall semester. That’s roughly eight events every week, in addition to leading eleven weekly Bible courses. By and large, these events were well attended and provided students with spiritual growth, support for their academic journey, and a place to build friendships that will last a lifetime.

  • More than 200 hours studying the Bible.

The heart and soul of Christian Union are our Bible courses. The CU Nova faculty cares for every aspect of student life and we want to see our students fall in love with Jesus. Christian Union’s Bible courses serve as the forum for both going deeper in biblical study and a regular weekly meeting time for students to gather in a familiar cohort led by CU Nova faculty. In the fall of 2022, we led 11 weekly Bible courses pouring hundreds of hours of study time into students' lives. We believe that Bible courses are the key ingredient in developing stronger Christians and stronger Christian leaders.

Would you join us in praying for:

  • The return of CU Nova’s Ski Safari retreat January 22-27, 2023.
  • Our upcoming Acts Bible Course beginning the week of January 30th.
  • The CU Nova faculty who serve in a challenging university setting.

In Christ,

Dr. Chris Coppernoll
Ministry Director
Christian Union Nova
