Hello CU Caritas Cornerstone Partners and other friends of the ministry,

At the ministry’s Psalms and Prayer night last Sunday—the post-Thanksgiving final event of the quarter—a student shared Psalm 73. In a good way, we can’t shake the final verses:

When my soul was embittered,

when I was pricked in heart,

I was brutish and ignorant;

I was like a beast toward you.

Nevertheless, I am continually with you;

you hold my right hand.

You guide me with your counsel,

and afterward you will receive me to glory.

Whom have I in heaven but you?

And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.

My flesh and my heart may fail,

but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

For behold, those who are far from you shall perish;

you put an end to everyone who is unfaithful to you.

But for me it is good to be near God;

I have made the Lord GOD my refuge,

that I may tell of all your works.

Incredible! Truly, Lord, we have no one in heaven but You, and there is nothing on earth we desire besides You. You created all things out of nothing, and they are nothing to us in comparison to You. You, Lord, are everything. And yet we thank You for all the ways You give Yourself to us through the people You’ve created and the gifts You’ve given us. We have made You our refuge, that we may tell of all Your works.

As you pray for us this holiday season, we’d love prayers for the health of our students and their families, and for our ministry faculty and our families. Several within our community are currently caring for and praying for family members with COVID, and we’d love your prayers to be joined with ours. May God protect our loved ones, and may he deliver us—and all our sisters and brothers across the world—from this plague, by his mercy.

Please also pray for our students over this extended holiday break (seven weeks in total), that they and those near to them would experience times of refreshing in the Lord. May God be the strength of their hearts and their portion forever!

We are so grateful to God for you and your prayers!
