Hosted by Christian Union America in partnership with World Trumpet Mission

Journey to Revival: An Unforgettable Uganda Experience

Step onto Prayer Mountain in Kampala, Uganda joining 1,000–2,000 believers from around the world for Trumpet Camp, World Trumpet Mission’s annual gathering led by John Mulinde. Expect catalytic teaching, powerful corporate prayer, and a deep encounter with God and the global body of Christ. The purpose of this annual conference is to radically and deeply strengthen attendees in their love and zeal for God, and to provide practical steps in how to seek God for revival and transformation in personal lives, families, communities and nations. Dr. Mulinde’s ministry is committed to this mission worldwide after he and others led a radical transformation in Uganda, seeing the HIV infection rate drop from 33% to 6% in the matter of a few years, as a result of calling the nation to seek God like never before.

Who Is This For?

Christ-centered leaders, intercessors, and marketplace believers, longing for personal renewal and to learn practices that transform families, cities and nations.

What Others Are Saying:

Jeff writes: “What I witnessed and experienced at Trumpet Camp was unlike anything I’ve known in America. Prayer was ascending to heaven night and day—unceasing, without interruption. There was never a moment when the mountain was not alive with intercession. If this is even a glimpse of how God transformed Uganda in the late 1990s, then surely we would be foolish to doubt that He can also bring revival to America. All American Christians need to experience prayer in Uganda. You will be forever changed.”

Mischa writes: “In Uganda, we basked in God’s presence. We received from the ministry of worship. We grew in the practice of prayer. We gathered on a mountain where the kinds of fervent God-seeking that have marked the breakthroughs of my life are just another Tuesday. And we learned from masters of revival, an evergreen topic in 21st Century ministry. It forced me to ask: am I doing ministry God’s way, or expecting him to bless mine?

Louis writes: “Trumpet Camp deeply transformed my prayer life, igniting a renewed hunger for God’s presence and a greater intimacy in seeking His voice. As a result, my church has experienced a powerful awakening, marked by increased passion, unified devotion, and a bold commitment to impact our region for Christ.”

Rev. Dr. John W. Mulinde - Biography

Rev. Dr. John W. Mulinde is the Founder and Global Overseer of World Trumpet Mission (WTM), an international, interdenominational ministry headquartered in Kampala, Uganda, dedicated to transformational revival across the globe. Established in 1988 following a profound supernatural encounter with God in Nakaseke, Uganda, WTM has grown from a rural outreach to a global movement, impacting nations through prayer, revival, and mission work. Dr. Mulinde’s calling to “blow the trumpet” (Joel 2:1) has led him to mobilize the Body of Christ for repentance, spiritual awakening, and the fulfillment of the Great Commission through his GO NATIONS initiative.

An internationally sought-after speaker, Dr. Mulinde has ministered in countless countries including Taiwan, Germany, and the United States, delivering powerful messages on prayer, community transformation, and preparing the Church for Christ’s return. His influential role in Uganda’s transformation, including efforts credited with reducing the HIV/AIDS epidemic and contributing to the end of the Joseph Kony conflict, is documented in works like Uganda’s Transformation and An Unconventional War by The Sentinel Group. He holds an honorary doctorate in theology and organizational leadership from Nashville Seminary and Bible College and serves on the International Board of Elders for the Jerusalem House of Prayer for All Nations.

As an author, Dr. Mulinde’s books, including Nation at Crossroads, Midnight Call, Set Apart for God, and Destiny Achiever, inspire leaders to pursue God’s purpose. He founded the Nations Prayer Mountain in Seguku, Uganda, a 100-acre retreat for fasting and prayer, and leads the annual TrumpetCamp, uniting thousands of believers and leaders worldwide. Dr. Mulinde resides in Kampala, embodying a legacy of faith and leadership. Join us to hear Dr. Mulinde’s prophetic insights and practical strategies for revival, equipping pastors to lead with power and purpose in these critical times.

FAQs

Can I arrive late or leave early?
Yes, although it could be a bit complicated. Share your desired travel dates with Sonya at Sonya.Polino@christianunion.org and we’ll advise on possibilities and cost, and shuttle options.

Is the hotel near restaurants?
Yes, however, most do best with eating dinner at the hotel each evening, and for lunch taking snacks to the conference site. Breakfast is included at the hotel each morning. It’s a big breakfast and some don’t eat any lunch as a result.

Is a post conference safari an option?

Yes, and options range from 2–3 days; details available by emailing Sonya at Sonya.Polino@christianunion.org.

Why do we arrive and depart so that the first and last days of the conference are missed?

Given time restrictions of most who have expressed interest, ten days seems like a great length for the trip, and attendees will get 7 full days of the conference (instead of 9) and will still have an absolutely extraordinary experience. Those wanting to arrive earlier or leave later could still work to arrange that if desired.

Why Go?

Because we eagerly desire God to change our own lives and the lives of those in the USA as he’s done in recent years in Uganda and other nations. Come to be radically blessed, equipped, refreshed, and sent. Return with fresh faith, practical ways to draw close to God, and lifelong friendships from a global move of prayer. Your understanding and practice of prayer will significantly deepen!

Help America Seek God for Revival!

The Need

A devout, faithful prayer team is being assembled to pray regularly and fervently to cut through the darkness and ask God to bring great change to the nation.  Dedicated prayer warriors are being mobilized to ask God of heaven to give strength to fellow American Christians so that they have the faith and strength to seek God with fervor and faithfulness.

The Opportunity

Revival only comes when large numbers of Christians seek God earnestly by humbling themselves with the help of fasting, praying frequently and fervently, soaking in the Scriptures, repenting of sins, obeying the Lord moment by moment, gathering with others, and keeping constant in their pursuit of Him.  Prayer warriors are needed to help pave the way for fellow Christians to take these radical steps of faith.  When large numbers of Christians seek God wholeheartedly, then incredible power is released as the Lord is pleased and visits His people and brings large numbers of Christians into the kingdom.

The Plan

If God leads you to join the prayer team, you are pledging to pray EVERY DAY for revival in America.  You will receive emails weekly and other inspiring content to help you draw close to the throne of grace day by day.

Connect with Like-Minded Alumni from your School

CU Society is a collection of Christian alumni and spouses from Christian Union’s targeted universities and Cornerstone Partners of these ministries. CU Society connects these Christian leaders with a heart for Christian strengthening and societal impact through a mentoring program, alumni boards, university events during reunions and homecomings, and forthcoming CU Connect Groups.

How to Get Involved

All Christian alumni and spouses from Christian Union’s targeted universities and Cornerstone Partners of those ministries are considered part of CU Society, having access to the benefits of the community.

Alumni Boards and University Events

To learn more about CU Society’s alumni boards and university events (e.g., reunions and homecoming), contact Vickie.Coonan@ChristianUnion.org

Mentoring Program

Leaving the university context upon graduation can be a tumultuous time for Christians. In the university setting, many students involved with Christian Union saw the ministry, along with their local church, as a home away from home, and a family with whom they grew in faith and sought God together. Upon graduation, Christian Union graduates are in a precarious situation of needing to find a new faith family in the form of a local church. Secular workplaces and graduate school environments can also challenge graduates. During this transition, alumni lose their regular connection to a significant source of spiritual encouragement and leadership. For this reason, Christian Union believes it is vital to come alongside recent graduates and support them in this key transition season.

This is where the CU Society mentoring program comes into play. The vision for the mentoring program is that every Christian Union graduate who wants to have an older alumnus or valued friend of the ministry come alongside them during this transition season can do so. Mentorship relationships focus on spiritual and professional capacities. Each pair is introduced around the time of graduation. Mentors take the lead and set up regular online or in-person connection times for at least the next ten months. The pair works together to help the mentee achieve specific goals that set them up well for a faithful future. These include attending church regularly, making local Christian friends, committing to stewardship, participating in times of fasting and seeking God, and setting and meeting spiritual and professional goals. Both mentees and mentors say that their lives are better and their faith is encouraged because of these relationships.

If you want to learn more about involvement with the mentoring program, you can contact Christine Foster.

Connect Groups

Launched in the fall of 2022, CU Society members can lead, form, and join online connecting groups with other members. These groups will include sponsored groups and interest groups.

Groups sponsored by Christian Union will curate specialized content to develop and connect Christian leaders in areas of spiritual growth, intersection of faith and work, intellectual questions related to the faith, exploration of supernatural elements, and more. Christian Union sponsored groups will be led by CU leadership and well-known Christian experts in various fields and run for a specified time throughout the year.

Member-initiated interest groups can be formed with a general or limited audience, such as university-specific or location-centric. They can center around any topic that does not conflict with CU’s Statement of Faith and Ethics. Interest groups may range from devotional groups to film-making groups to Christian entrepreneurs groups to mothers of CU Universities students. The possibilities of interest groups are almost endless and can last for as long as the group leader(s) chooses. CU Connect Groups will be an incredible blessing to expand and deepen a network Christian leaders across the nation.

Join Our National Fast!

An Opportunity to Seek the Lord...Together

Date: August 1-14, 2025

Persevere in Prayer for Revival.

This fast will emphasize the need for American Christians and the greater American people to persevere in their prayers and yearning for revival and in advancing the kingdom of light over the kingdom of darkness.

Christian Union America will provide a guide to fasting, an email devotional each day of the fast, an online community for fast participants, and a national fast Bible reading plan.

Christian Union America hosts regular national fasts ranging from week-long to 40-day fasts with the intention of both deepening our own relationship with the Lord and interceding for our nation to return to Him. Fasting is an essential part of Christian life. It is modeled for us throughout the Scriptures and has a unique capacity to draw us closer to the Lord through humble dependence upon Him.

Each signed-up participant receives a daily Bible-based devotional by email during the fasting period.

Each participant decides how to abstain from food and/or drink during the fast. The Bible provides different examples of fasting, from eating only one meal per day to forgoing all foods for multiple days in a row. Only rarely and in very exceptional circumstances does someone abstain from both food and drink. Ask God how you should fast, and please consult your doctor if you have any questions or concerns about fasting. If you have never fasted for days in a row, then join for as long as you can. The most important part of fasting is the humbling of our hearts to seek after God.

Why CU Fire Retreats?

CU Fire Retreats were created to help believers experience God more deeply and fully. If you long for a closer relationship with the God who loves you, a CU Fire Retreat might be a tremendous next step. Taking more time to seek the Lord and draw close to Him will dramatically impact your closeness to God.

While we can all seek God in our own time, doing so with friends and people you want to get to know helps deepen the bonding and creates powerful camaraderie.

Christian Union founder and president, Matt Bennett, said, "Focused times of drawing near to God have an incredibly positive impact on Christians. Such times provide powerful spiritual strengthening and renewed vision. You can view Matt Bennett’s bio here and an interview with Matt by CBN here (5:21).

As more and more Christians take time to seek God and grow stronger in Him, God draws near to us with His increased power and presence in our churches, communities, and nation. Many are frustrated with the spiritual decline in their communities and the nation, and seeking the Lord is the answer.

As believers grow strong in the Lord, their vibrant faith will bring a supernatural change.

Perspectives:
“CU Fire was amazing. The way I was able to meet with God and connect to others has broken some chains off of my heart!! The experience was invaluable.”
– Kimberly

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
– Hebrews 10:24

My first experience as a participant of a CU fire retreat connected me with like minded believers seeking the Lord for revival. Our time praying together and seeking God in the scriptures was powerful. When given the opportunity to host during the next CU fire retreat I was all in.
