Dear friends,

All praise is due to our faithful God who continues to bestow grace and favor on us as we do his work at Columbia University. Our staff continues the work of discipleship even amid various challenges, and we are seeing students grow in their commitment to follow Christ as we remain committed to them.

In my previous newsletter, I asked for prayer regarding the recent suicides that occurred at Columbia University. Our staff is conscious of the burdens these students face as they attend Columbia. Consequently, we hosted Sandi Taylor, former counselor at Redeemer Presbyterian church’s counselling center for an Illumina. Her talk was called Help and Hope: Understanding mental illness as Christians. The students indicated to us that her talk was very helpful and encouraging.

Here are things we ask you to join us in prayer for:

  • Please pray for students at Columbia. The academic and social pressure they face can be overwhelming.
  • Please pray for students in our ministry. There is political strife that has caused some division among students. Please pray that God would give us wisdom on how to handle this division.
  • Pray that the students at our various Bible courses are impacted in deep and meaningful ways. Pray also for staff as we teach these courses.Pray for our Bible courses and times of one-on-one discipleship that it would bear fruit in the lives of these students.
  • Please pray that we can successfully recruit for the Nexus Conference.

As always, we are grateful for the partnership you have with us in this work. We would not be able to accomplish what we are doing without your prayers and financial gifts.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you always,
