Christian Union
Greetings,

Christian Union at Columbia recently celebrated the grand opening of its ministry center. The opening of this center is the culmination of years of prayer, fasting, and giving. We have begun to use the center for ministry and the difference has been immediately felt. We are one block from campus, right between two fraternities. Our location puts us right where all the action is, and we have already begun to have conversations with curious students wondering who their new neighbors are.

We finally have the space necessary to hold multiple Bible courses at the same time. This alone allows for more community building among students and the students have been vocal about how accommodating the new space is. They want to be there studying, socializing, etc. We are tremendously excited for how this will revolutionize our ministry to Columbia. A heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in making this happen.

Our Fall Conference took place at Spruce Lake a few weeks ago. It was a fruitful time of ministry. We gave a series of talks on the book of Ruth. Needless to say, the subject matter was exciting and well received by students. Students had fun ziplining and singing songs by the campfire. They left refreshed and ready to tackle a stressful midterm season.

Here’s how you can pray for us:

  • Pray for proper stewardship of our new ministry center. We wish to maximize its effectiveness.
  • A Columbia student recently committed suicide and the campus is currently mourning this loss. Pray for the light of Jesus Christ to reach students contemplating suicide.
  • Pray for our various Bible courses and discipleship meetings.

May the grace of our Lord be with you,

Bryant Parsons
