Greetings,

This past month has been a fruitful time of ministry at Columbia. We praise God for two students who gave indications that they wanted to begin to follow Christ. May God increase this number as we continue to minister. We also have had a strong semester of engaging Illumina meetings. I preached a sermon on prayer and several students have remarked how impactful it was for their spiritual growth. One student told me that he has consistently gotten up in the morning to attend student prayer since this time. We also had pastor Rasool Berry return to speak on our search for identity from Ephesians. Students remarked how his talk caused them to rethink where they searched for purpose and meaning.

Here’s how you can pray for us:
  • Pray for staff as we think through how best our ministry center can serve students.
  • We’ve entered the time during the semester when some students feel overwhelmed by some of their classes. Pray for their strength and perseverance.
  • Pray that staff would be encouraged and strengthened by God’s Spirit as we look to finish the semester strong ministering to our students.

At this time of year, I should mention that we do depend on the generosity of many supporters to make this ministry possible. The resources provided by alumni, parents, and friends make it possible to run Bible courses for over 200 students this semester; to hold off-campus conferences, where students step away from campus life to grow closer to God and deepen their relationships with one another; to engage in creative Gospel outreach on campus and bring engaging speakers. And, of course, to meet with students one-on-one, to counsel and encourage them toward new faith in Christ or to deeper maturity in Him. Would you prayerfully consider making a special gift by December 31 to support current students as they hear the Gospel and grow in faith?

You can support us here.

Thank you for your continued support,
