Dear Prayer Partners,

Blessings to you in the name of Jesus! Thanks for praying for us regularly.  I’ll maintain that our primary strategy in ministry here is what Paul spells out as the “communications equipment” of God’s armor, saying in Ephesians 1:18 “praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints”.

Here are some specific requests for us now:

(1) Launch of Spring Bible Courses — We are grateful to see almost a dozen new students joining us for Bible Courses this Spring.  Some are already Christians and others are seekers.  We are teaching the “Seeking God Lifestyle” and “Sex and Spirituality” courses to freshmen, “Acts" to sophomores and juniors, and “Vocational Preparation” to seniors. These Bible Courses provide amazing opportunities for spiritual formation and deep friendships. Please pray that God would strengthen these groups, that Christ is taught faithfully, and that the life of Christ would be experienced abundantly.

(2) Spiritual warfare — It’s hard to describe, but there is a real battle going on for students’ souls on campus.  Some have returned from break with serious doubts, and others have graciously but decidedly said they don’t want to move towards Christ anymore, even after great strides in the previous semester. We trust in the long-game of God’s sovereign purposes, but we ask that you join us in pleading with the Lord for his continued protection over these growing disciples and a Spirit-filled ability to stand firm in the truth they’ve been taught.

(3) NEXUS Conference — Our all-CU Conference is only 4 weeks away. This conference is not only a refreshing weekend away from campus together, but it’s a chance for the students (and staff) to experience profound encouragement and spiritual growth.  We won’t take that for granted, and you can be praying now for the conference speakers, worship team, breakout leaders, and that above all God would be the 'guest of honor' during the weekend, making his presence known in a powerful way!

Thanks so much, and please do come see us when you’re in New Haven!
