Summer Plans & Scripture Study
Students finished up finals during the first week of May and are now off into their summers.Several of our students will be studying abroad this summer, others will be participating in internships, and a few are pursuing ministry opportunities in the U.S. and abroad.
We also have several students that will be in New Haven over the summer either researching or taking summer courses.
Similar to last summer, Chris, Lauren and I will be leading a Bible study over the summer. At the end of this month we will start a 10 week study on images of Christ in the Old Testament, specifically looking at how Jesus fulfills the prophecies in the Old Testament.
In addition to this Bible study we also have a book study for all students involved with Yale Faith & Action. We will have an ongoing discussion online about two books: Augustine's Confessions and Humble Orthodoxy, by Joshua Harris.
Please pray that God would use these studies to grow and challenge the Yale students throughout the summer.
Pray for students seeking God during summer
As many students go their separate ways they are going to face challenges to their walk with the Lord and will find many obstacles to seeking God.Join us in praying specifically that these students get connected immediately with a strong church and network of God seeking Christians.
If they find themselves isolated from other believers, please join us in praying for God to give them the strength and courage to take initiative to seek him and lead others to join them.
Also this month, please pray as we trust the Lord in the following areas:
• Pray that God will continue to strengthen and encourage the students involved with Yale Faith in Action (YFA), the student group resourced by Christian Union.• Please continue to pray for the students of Yale, that many will put their hope and trust in Christ and make choices to better foster growth in their relationship with Him in their time at Yale.
• Please pray as the interview process for an additional women's ministry fellow here at Yale is underway.
• Please continue to pray that God will show mercy on the Yale campus and turn many hearts to a genuine faith in Christ.
• Pray for God to work in direct and immediate ways through our summer study in the book of Genesis.
Again, thank you for your frequent and fervent prayers for the Lord to move in a mighty way at Yale!
