Leadership for the New York Ministry

Olga is a native New Yorker and works as an attorney in the City. A graduate of NYU Law School, she is a committed believer and a zealous leader for the Christian Union New York Board. She recently ran her first NYC marathon.
Scott CarpenterAfter serving the country as the Deputy Assistant to the Secretary of State at the US State Department under the George W. Bush administration Scott Carpenter has served over a decade as a top Google executive and is an active leader within his church. He and his wife were recently radically transformed by the Holy Spirit at a Gospel of the Kingdom Conference, and now are trained and serve on the GOTK prayer and deliverance ministry team.
Keye ChowKeye and his wife were first introduced to CU through an invitation to a Gospel of the Kingdom (GOTK) conference six years ago. Since then, they have been blessed with the privilege of participating in and sowing into CU and Orbis Ministries, including hosting a 3-day GOTK workshop and other CU events in their building lounge. Keye has worked in the public equity investment field for the past two decades as an analyst and portfolio manager at firms including Millennium Partners, OppenheimerFunds, and currently, Alger, where he serves as SVP and Director of Research for Healthcare Investing. He graduated from Stanford with a BA English and MS Engineering; and from Harvard Business School with a MBA. Keye and his wife minister with Ken Fish at events around the country and serve on the GOTK ministry team with CU New York.
Elizabeth Simpson
A realtor, philanthropist, former ballerina, and former senior fundraiser for the New York City Ballet, Elizabeth serves as Cornerstone Partner Advocate for the CU New York board, ensuring strategies to become financially self-sustained by the goal of 2025. She is a faithful follower of Jesus and a gracious host for several CU Fire Retreats and board dinners.
Ryan KishoreA 2017 graduate of Cornell, Ryan is already Founder and CEO of Quilt Labs, is a very generous donor- exemplary for his age, and is zealous to mentor other young alumni and learn and practice inner healing and deliverance ministry. Though he is a rising star he leads and serves with deep commitment and humility.
Julia ScoperOne of the youngest board members, who very effectively reaches the young alumni demographic, Julia is a Senior Copywriter with a passion for women’s ministry, prayer, and building community. She has garnered and hosted the most CU Fire Retreats and participants of any other New Yorker involved in the ministry of CU New York, is a tremendous asset to the board and to the young Christian professionals of NYC.
New Additions:
Linda L. Huang, DDS, MD, FACS
A Columbia University School of Dental Medicine graduate and clinical professor, Linda is one of the most specialized dental and oral surgeons in the New York area. She owns her own highly successful practice, serves on medical missions, frequently offers prayers with and for her patients, and serves on the ministry team for CU NY’s Gospel of the Kingdom Conferences.
Chris Shortell Chris is a graduate of Cornell University who has held various leadership roles in the U.S. and Asia in insurance and international trade while living in some of the most dynamic cities such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai, and is the former Euler Hermes China CEO. He is now moving back to NYC to permanently re-join his wife, Joon, after a stint of overseas commuting in the wake of the global pandemic, and is passionate about mentoring young men.
Joon Shortell
Joon is a graduate of the Parson School of Design with a concentration in Fashion Design, and was a clothing designer and boutique owner. Joon’s passion and zeal for Bible teaching, prayer, and a move of the Holy Spirit have her now using her time primarily serving the kingdom of Jesus globally and in NYC.
Dr. Maryalice (Ali) Mazzara Dr. Maryalice (Ali) Mazzara received her Ed.D. from Columbia University’s Teachers College, has held leadership positions in corporations, institutions of higher education, and NGOs. She is currently the Director of External Relations at Long Island University (LIU) with a focus on developing global initiatives, reporting directly to the President. She loves Jesus and is especially passionate about developing leaders and impacting culture for good, which is a perfect fit for the mission of Christian Union NY.
