Thank you for your faithful prayers for the Lord’s work in New York. As churches are opening back up and New York is beginning to return to some normalcy, one of the most frequent requests I receive is for sound, Biblical, Spirit-filled church recommendations. Though we are a para-church organization, it is our privilege to facilitate these important kingdom connections.
Our Founder and CEO, Matt Bennett, is not only passionate about secular Chrstian leaders finding ministry and development, but he also creates a monthly opportunity for our city’s pastors and ministers to be encouraged, spiritually revived, challenged, loved, and supported. Being the wife of a pastor myself, I understand the incredible weight they carry to the Lord on behalf of their flocks. They, too, are human, need community and ministry, and are drastically impacted by receiving ministry themselves. CU NY is so grateful and honored to have the opportunity to care for our city’s Shepherds.
As you pray for CU New York, please pray for the pastors and ministers also under our care. Pray for our colleague, Dimas Salaberrios, who assists Matt in hosting many Manhattan pastors for a monthly day of prayer and fasting together, repenting, encouragement, equipping, teaching, and fellowship. “As iron sharpens iron, so shall one man sharpen another.” Psalm 27:17. The stronger and more resilient our pastors are, the stronger the entire flock city-wide! Please pray that Manhattan pastors are so deeply met by the Lord that their cup overflows into ours.
