James encourages and reminds us of the power of prayer: “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working” - James 5:16. Your prayers for Christian Union New York are needed, and they are working! Fruits of the ministry in NY are abundant, but the need for intercession is even greater. Please continue to pray! Join Christian Union New York in prayer over these three exciting ministry opportunities and events happening this August.
1) Christian Union Faculty and Staff Conference - Holy Spirit’s Filling and Equipping
First and foremost, we ask for your continued prayers for the filling of the Holy Spirit upon all of our Christian Union ministry faculty and staff who will be gathering at Momentum together for a week-long conference this August 6-12. As we fast and seek the Lord together, please pray for the Spirit’s presence to be palpable, filling us with wisdom and anointing us to run the race with perseverance in the ministry year ahead. Pray that the Christian Union New York team may be equipped to effectively serve and minister to Christian professionals of all ages and stages across NYC!
2) The Exchange: Christian Union New York’s New Speaker Series
Please lift up the CU New York Board of Directors collaborating to help select the guest speakers for our new speaker series! Pray that the Board would clearly hear the Lord’s guidance to invite speakers who will further our mission to develop and connect transformative Christian leaders to transform culture. Specifically, with The Exchange, Christian Union intends to provide a Bible-focused and Bible-based platform for NY Christian leaders fearlessly to exchange ideas on topics the present culture deems anathema. Pray that as iron sharpens iron, so shall we sharpen one another. (Proverbs 27:17) We seek a sweeping spiritual revival across NYC and the nation. Pray fervently that we know the Truth and thus be set free because of it.
3) Student Graduates Moving to NYC
August is a significant month as we welcome a group of new 2023 Christian Union University graduates to NYC as they move in to begin their careers! We seek to meet each one together at our first dinner gathering! Please pray for these recent graduates to find Christian fellowship in NYC and find local church homes. Pray that the August dinner event will begin a transformative journey for each graduate in their new profession as they continue to grow in their relationship with Christ.
